Just to change the topic a little bit, i present you my costumized and tuned up linux debian based distro. Yup, my laptop's 512 MB of RAM memory ARE more than enough, even running MATLAB, web browsers and all that stuff at the same time . The normal main memory consumption rounds about 22%. Why do you still use windows? Oh, i almost forgot.. Photoshop is only available for it.. Yes, i tried to get it working on my distro once, but some functions like filters and stuff had problems. But that's one of the very very few reasons why i still have a dedicated partition to windows on my disk, believe me!

Details:
Linux ubuntu server base,
IceWm window manager,
Neet MACOSX skin,
ROX Filer for graphical file manager,
Wireless connection, shell placement and computer stats on startup,
CPU and Disk temperature check with dedicated C made app,
Laptop battery check ( "E" when battery removed ),
etc, etc, etc...

Mabe one day i'll write a tutorial on all this, since i took months, nights and days to get this working like it is .
